Frequent
Questions
Q) Can I use the ALL-116 thermostat with other electric underfloor
heating systems?
A) Yes the ALL-116 thermostat can be used with all conventional
electric underfloor heating providing the total ampage does
not exceed 16 amps.
Q) Can the ALL-116 be fitted in place of a previously purchased
thermostat?
A)
Dependent on the thermostat you are replacing you should be
able to use the ALL-116 you need to make sure you have a live
and neutral feed to the thermostat and a live and neutral
to the heating elements you may also have to connect a floor
temperature sensor (if available).
Q)
Is there any reason for the ALL-116 thermostat having a 5
metre long floor probe
A)
Yes, it is easier to cut off excess than it is to extend the
probe wire, as installers we have found time after time we
needed more than 3 metres which seems to be the industry standard
so decided to manufacture a 5 metre long probe that can be
extended upto 20 metres long.
Q)
My room requires more than 16 amps do I need to use 2 thermostats?
A)
You can use a thermostat expansion kit that will allow you
to switch 28 amps (maximum rating 30 amps), using the thermostat
expansion kit you do not need 2 thermostats meaning less cost
and electrical work, however should you desire you can use
2 thermostats.
