Frequent Questions and answers

Why does my thermostat controller show "LO"

The thermostat will usually flash "LO" whe the floor probe is disconnected or the floor probe has been damaged during installation. Check the resistance of the floor probe and ensure firm connection to the terminals.

The thermostat can also show "LO" when the floor temperature is below 0 however this is very rare and would normally only show if the floor temperature was misconfigured (see section for calibrate thermostat).

Why does the thermostat turn off the underfloor heating before it reaches the desired temperature in air and floor mode ?

This usually happens because the floor temperature limit setting is too low (see section setting floor limit).

The other cause of this could be that the floor is heating too high due to a thermal block. Ensure that the flooring product is suitable for underfloor heating and that you do not have items such as beanbags, quilts, cushions, etc. on the floor with underfloor heating.

My thermostat does not retain any of the settings I have put into it

The usual cause is that the thermostat has been switched off for a prolonged time and the battery has gone flat, in some events the battery will not recharge and need to be replaced.

My thermostat has just been installed and has no signs of life

This is a very common error and usually down to incorrect wiring, ensure that the wires are correctly installed and there is power to the thermostat from the spur.

The thermostat shows it has reached its temperature but the room still feels cold

The usual cause of this is due to the thermostat controller being incorrectly calibrated (see section calibrate thermostat).
